Linda Drake

Linda Drake is a Pacific Northwest painter who takes inspiration from the region’s breathtaking landscapes. Her paintings are characterized by vivid colors and bold brushwork that suggest the dynamic beauty of the natural world.

She creates images of the forests, coastlines, and mountains of the Pacific Northwest, as well as scenes from her travels outside of the region. Her work invites viewers to experience these scenes through the lens of emotion and energy rather than strict realism.

Linda studied studio art at Bryn Mawr and Haverford colleges. Her career was primarily in earth sciences and geology along with public education. She now finds her background in science and geology field work resonates with her experiences creating art inspired by the natural world.
